Self-drive Tour Between Perth and Exmouth

Considering self-drive tour between Perth and Exmouth?

This tour is perfect if you do not have time to drive both ways. With this tour, you first fly from Perth to Exmouth where you will pick-up your pre-arranged hire car and check into your overnight accommodation. During your stay in Exmouth, you can swim with Whale Sharks and visit some of the wonders of Western Australia’s north-west, such as Mandu Mandu Gorge and Cape Range National Park.

As you drive south, there are many other attractions and places of interest including Carnarvon, Monkey Mia and the Shark Bay Marine Park and World Heritage Site where you can get up close and personal with the famous wild dolphins. Then on to Kalbarri, known for its seaside cliffs, estuary beach and wild pelicans. Nearby Kalbarri National Park has rocky gorges like the iconic Z Bend, named for a sharp bend in the river. The park’s coast is home to resident dolphins and seasonal humpback whales, seen from a boardwalk beside the Island Rock and Natural Bridge rock forms. Visit the Gorge in the National Park and have your picture taken in “Nature’s Window”.

Just south of Kalbarri is Hutt Lagoon, the famous “Pink Lake” – it can be viewed from the highway as you drive by or you can take a small plane aerial tour over the lake, which departs from Geraldton airport. The lake always appears much pinker from the air.
Further south from Geraldton, we recommend a stop at The Lobster Shack in the fishing village of Cervantes for lunch and a tour of the lobster factory. Then, after lunch, drive on to The Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park before ending your self-drive tour back in Perth.

We can tailor your itinerary with pre-booked flight, car-hire, accommodation and guidance with all places of possible interest.

Testimonial from Marco (Italy):

"The itinerary was very well designed, given our time and budget constraints. Exmouth was a wonderful experience and swimming with the whale sharks was beyond imagination. A truly unforgettable experience. Monkey Mia was less unforgettable but the heritage drive and the boat cruise we took was worth the long travel time. The resort is very family-friendly.
Kalbarri was very nice, and the town is a pleasant stop on the way south. The only change I would have made to the itinerary is possibly moving the night stay from Geraldton to Northampton, which is a cute little town with a lot of historical feel to it.
We had no problems with the car and the people from AVIS were very kind.
Overall, I greatly appreciated your professionalism. The kids truly enjoyed the trip and this is the best benchmark for me. Should we have another opportunity to spend time in Western Australia, we would like to go to the Broome area.
Best regards and once again thank you very much".
